Ashley yawned and stretched as the two of them walked down Route 1. It was quite a silent and calm route, surrounded only by the long stretches of farmland that made up the Vaharya Plains. In fact, they would almost reach those soon, and beyond that was Viola Town, the first Gym.
She suddenly heard an old farmer crying for help. "Should we check it out?" she asked Mike without waiting for an answer. She rushed to his side and asked, "What's the matter?"
"Oh! Thank goodness, you look like strong trainers. There's been an incident on my farm. All of my crops are gone! I don't know what to do!" He suddenly burst out whimpering in terror.
Ashley calmed him down and turned to Mike. "Let's go take a look. Can you take us to your farm?"
The man nodded and brought them along to his empty farmland. Hundreds of acres, yet nothing was growing.

Mike looked around the farm, Making sure that there were just hidden crops somewhere but there wasn't. "Hmm...Who could of taken the crops?"Mike asked the farmer as he awaited his answer. Mike continued to look around wondering who would of stolen the crops. Mike started to sigh as he walked towards the farmer, "Do you have any idea on who would want to steal your crops?" Mike asked.

"N-no! I get along with all my neighbors. No one else really has a need to take all of my crops." He sighed and slumped down into the heather fields. "I'm ruined now unless this crop-stealer is stopped..."
Ashley nodded and turned to Mike. "Maybe we should take a better look around? Maybe there's something around the fields that can tell us where they went."

Mike stared at Ashley. "Alrighty then, Let's check around the field for some clues!! Sandile you help as well." Mike said as he put Sandile down. Mike started to look around the field ahead of Ashley.

Cyndaquil jumped from Ashley's arms and began searching, sniffing the ground for a clue. As he got closer to the edges of the field, he managed to find hundreds of holes where crops used to be. They must have gone down for miles.
"Cyn! Cynda!" he chirped, letting his owner know he found something. Ashley ran over and dropped to her knees, looking over the vast hole.
"Well, we found where our little mysterious robbers came from, but how do we follow them? You and I can't fit down there." She grumbled and tried to peer down inside, but it was too dark.

"Hey, Ashley maybe Sandile can go inside one of these wholes, He is a ground type after all." Mike said as Sandile nodded. Sandile jumped straight into the holes he could see easily. He started to walk deeper...And Deeper...And deeper. Sandile continued to walk until he could find something to report to his trainer. "Now we just wait until Sandile finds something." Mike said smiling.

Ashley nodded and stepped back, allowing Sandile to jump into the hole. Cyndaquil shivered. No way was he going down there! He'd prefer to stay up above ground, thank you. Ashley sat down on the ground nearby and hoped that she would find something.

Mike sat down next to the hole as Sandile continued walking upwards. Suddenly Sandile stopped she thought that she saw something! "Sand...Sandile!!!" Sandile shouted. "Hey look, I think Sandile found something!" Mike shouted happily, He knew that Sandile could do it!

"W-well? What is it, Sandile?" Ashley asked, curious as to what she found. Cyndaquil, for once, jumped up in surprise as well.

Sandile started to bite the thing that she had found as she tried to pull it out of the hole. "Sand......SAndil....Sandile!!" Sandile started to struggle when she was trying to pull the thing out of the hole. "I think she's having some troubles..." Mike said trying to find out what was going on in the hole.

Ashley nodded and turned to Cyndaquil. "Cyndaquil, you help her." He nodded and stumbled over to the hole, trying to reach down far enough to grab her. When he did, he pulled with all his might, and out popped a Venipede!

Sandile took the hit for Cyndaquil and took 15% damage! [/center] Mike started to watch as the venipede came charging with a poison sting towards both of them! "Watch out!!!" Mike yelled. Sandile quickly got in front of Cyndaquil and took the full blow of the poison sting. Sandile fell towards the ground as it was injured but not that badly. Sandile started to let out a grunt. Sandile quickly stood up and started to use a bite attack against the Venipede.

Attack Missed! [/size][/center] The Venipede swiftly dodged to the side. This wasn't any pushover. It quickly rolled to the side and prepared for a super effective rollout attack! Venipede -- 100% -- poison sting - pursuit - rollout - protect

Sandile watched as Cyndaquil was hit by the rollout attack. Sandile opened her mouth as she awaited for her trainer to command her. "Sandile, Sand Tomb now!!"Mike commanded as Sandile shot out the sand tomb. The sand spiraled around Venipede, Sandile hoped to have hitten it.

Attack Hit! [/size][/center] The Venipede was sucked up by the Sand Tomb and thrown aside, hitting the ground with a thud. Tired of this, it burrowed back underground and vanished, probably burrowing through into the hole it came from. Venipede -- 87% -- poison sting - pursuit - rollout - protect
