Melissa got off the boat as it docked in the Arya Region,"Hmm, now where could that lab be?" She wondered. She went around asking people where the lab was located at. She heard the lab didn't give away the normal starters but had random generated Pokemon, instead of the normal grass, fire and water. So she had no idea what she was going to be picking. But whatever she picked she knew she wasn't about to get a water type Pokemon at all.
"Excuse me, where can I find the Pokemon lab?" She suddenly asked a blonde headed, fat guy. He pointed her out in the direction of the lab,"Thanks a lot mister." Melissa turned and walked down the road towards the lab. On the way she stopped by an ice cream stand,"One Strawberry please."
"That'll be $2.50," said the man at the counter. Melissa handed him the money and took her ice cream and begin licking it as she walked down the road towards the lab, that was very small for a lab. No wonder they never got the normal starters. Melissa figured they probably didn't make much money. Still licking her ice cream, Melissa walked up to the door and knocked on the door. They didn't even have a door bell, she had noticed. |

A continuous knocking ringed in her ears, causing her to swipe her pen across her paper. Only a dark line of ink was left of her work. Frustrated and grumbling, her legs stomped across the room, sending the door flying
"Stupid reporters and wanna-be scientists and..." she grumbled, swinging the door open. "What?" her irritated voice softened as she saw the young trainer standing before her. "S-sorry. Welcome. Are you here for a Pokémon?" Yew gestured for the girl to step inside, shutting the door behind her. "Would you care for some tea?" She picked up a pot that stood next to her ruined research.

"S-sorry. Welcome. Are you here for a Pokémon?" Yew asked her.
Melissa noticed her name tag as the Professor invited Melissa inside the lab,"Yes, I am." She told her, taking a seat on Professor Yew's couch.
"Would you care for some tea?" She asked her.
"Uh...no thanks. I'm not really a tea drinker." Melissa picked up a list in front of her that listed the Pokemon Professor Yew had on hand right now,"Can I have the Shinx, please?" Melissa got right to business right away. She seemed to be the type to hurry up and claim her starter and leave very quickly. She also sounded like she was very excited to begin her journey as well. Could Shinx be one of her favorite Pokemon? And she wanted to claim him before someone else took him? It was possible. There did seem to be a sparkle in her eyes as she asked for the Shinx.

"Thank you so much Professor Yew." Melissa took the kit and Shinx's Pokeball and thanked the Professor. Just then Shinx appeared from his Pokeball on his own,"Shinx, what are you doing letting yourself out for?"
"Shi shinx!" Shinx said playfully, using Spark on Melissa.
"Owie!" Melissa moaned painfully as she felt the shock go though her whole body,"Why did you shock me for?" She asked Shinx.
"Shinx shi shi," Shinx ran around playfully. Melissa chased Shinx out of the lab, chasing him down the road holding his Pokeball in her hand, eventually getting the electric type back inside his Pokeball. This was going to be a long journey, she decided as she walked around town continuing on her way.
