She was finally here. Standing at the steps of the Viola Town Gym, she was finally prepared to get her first Gym Badge. A Grass Type Gym. This would be easy, since her starter was Cyndaquil.
Better not get cocky... She warned herself. After all, Ashley knew how cockiness would lead to loss. Cyndaquil yawned on her back and murmured, "Cynda?" She giggled and stroked him gently. "That's right, Cyndaquil. We're here. Are you ready?" She turned slightly to see him in the corner of her eye as he leaped from her shoulder and onto the ground, the flame on his back burning brightly. "Cynda cynda!" She took it as a yes.
"Anyone here?" Her words echoed across the Gym as she entered, ready to face the battle ahead.

Finally with a flash of bright light a big muscular man appeared. Shinti smiled, "Oh!!! So my next challenger is a girl...Hmm..But I won't go easy on you, Baby!!" Shinti shouted as he gave a thumbs up. He started to smile it was time for him to go over the rules, "Alright then, It's time for the rules! Each trainer will use two pokemon each and I will use two pokemon..You the challenger may substitute pokemon during battle while I can not! Now, choose your pokemon and i'll send mines out!" Shinti said smirking.

Nodding only briefly, Ashley took a step forward onto the battle field. Her Cyndaquil immediately jumped from her shoulder, ready for battle, but she grabbed him before he could. "Hold on Cyndaquil, not yet." Grumpily, he padded over to her side and slumped down onto the ground.
"Go! Riolu!" She shouted and sent out her Fighting Type Pokémon. The red aura slowly revealed him as he made his way to the field.
You are challenged by: [/size] Ashley! [/center] Riolu -- 100% -- force palm - endure - counter - feint Riolu put his paws together in front of his muzzle, trying to concentrate solely on the battle. Once he was sure he was ready, he let out a, "Ri!" and Ashley nodded. "Go! Use Force Palm!"

The attack hit for 17%! [/center] Shinti stared as the riolu charged towards him. Riolu must of known that he didn't send out a pokemon yet...But he sent out his Pansage who got hit by the force palm at full blast. Pansage grunted as he stumbled backwards. "Vinewhip let's go, Pansage!!!" Shinti commanded. Pansage spun around as vines came out of his hands it went directly towards the riolu at full speed!

Riolu -- 87% -- force palm - endure - counter - feint
Riolu stumbled back slightly, but he could take the easy vine whip. All they had to hope now was that he didn't know a Bug Type move. If they were lucky, anyways.
Ashley threw her arm to the side and told Riolu to use Force Palm once more!

The attack missed! [/center] Pansage started to laugh as the riolu came charging towards him with another force palm. Pansage swiftly jumped into the air to dodge the force palm. When Pansage landed he started to await Shinti's orders. "Use, Vine Whip once more please!!" Shinti commanded as Pansage started to spin around once more. Vines blasted out of his hands as it flew towards Riolu!

When Riolu saw the Vine Whip heading his way, he immediately ducked and rolled out of the way and grabbed onto the Vine Whip! He held onto them and started spinning Pansage around and into the walls!

The attack did damage! [/center] Pansage started to get dizzy but he awaited for his trainer's orders. "Heh, Vine whip and make it slam towards the wall, HARD!"Shinti commanded. Pansage nodded as the vines stopped Riolu from spinning him around, Pansage landed safely towards the ground as he used the vines to release Riolu towards the wall.

He yowled as he was flung against the wall by a critical Vine Whip. Riolu slid to the bottom of the wall, but he wasn't done yet.
It did a lot of damage, which meant if he could land this hit, it would be even more terrifying for them! Plus, it was a Physical Move, meaning they could counterattack."Use counter!" She yelled.
Riolu used Counter! It did double damage!
Did 46% damage! |

The attack did damage! [/center] Pansage let out a loud shriek as he slammed towards the wall. The wall made a huge hole! "Pansage!!!!!!" Shinti shouted. Pansage colapsed towards the ground as he stood up slowly he let out another grunt. "You have a nice riolu there, Baby!!! Pansage use another Vinewhip let's go!!!" Shinti commanded! Pansage nodded as he had one eye closed. Pansage used vinewhip as it wrapped the vines around riolus legs. Pansage made riolu hit the ceiling!!!

Pansage had tons of bruises on him but he had to hang on! Pansage smirked as he waited for Shinti's orders. "Pansage just use another vinewhip come on!!!" Shinti ordered.

He easily sidestepped the Vine Whip and jumped onto the vines. As Pansage pulled them back in, he brought Riolu closer to himself! This was their chance!
"Riolu! Force Palm, full force!" Ashley shouted and seemed to attack with Riolu as they both swung their palm.

Pansage fainted from the force palm! [/center] Shinti smirked as he returned Pansage. "You did a great job, Pansage...But come on out Chikorita!!!" Shinti yelled as he sent out Chikorita. "Use a poison powder come on!!!" Shinti commanded with joy. Chikorita danced around as a purple aura appeared on riolu. The poison did its job.

Riolu stumbled back from the poison, but Ashley was going to give him a rest anyways. It was time to switch.
"Return, Riolu! You deserve a nice rest." She glanced at Riolu's Pokéball before nodding to Cyndaquil. He looked excited for his first battle and immediately went to the field. Cyndaquil -- 100% -- tackle - leer - smokescreen - ember
She threw her arm to the side and yelled, "Cyndaquil! Use Smokescreen to defend yourself from that Poison Powder!" He nodded and released a puff of smoke all over the field.
