Her brown locks fell in clumps in front of her emerald eyes. Cyndaquil was fast asleep in her lap, twitching at the rain that fell from the sky. She hovered over him, making sure he was safe under her head as an umbrella. Almost no one was out, after all, it was late at night. The best thing to do was to go rent a room at the Center, but for some reason, she was too lazy to stand up. She only sat there, staring at the rain intently with no purpose, unable to detect anyone around her. Lazily, she slumped against the bench and pulled her coat tighter around her, shivering from the cold. When would the rain end? |

Ichigo ran from the rain. He spotted some on near by. He starred over at the stranger tell chimchar said "Chimchar" meaning to go meet that person. His feet thumped over to the stranger. Wen he got near he said "Hi, I'm Ichigo, and what's your name". His kind words soothed his voice.

She slowly looked up, noticing the stranger in front of her. "Ashley." Her words mumbled through her hair as she pulled away strands of it. Cyndaquil huffed a bit of smoke and turned away, a little bit on edge from the stranger's sudden appearance. |

As Mike entered the town it suddenly was raining, Mike quickly opened his backpack as he found his umbrella. Sandile started to groan since she didn't like rain but suddenly she shook her head, She started to act brave as she stood there taking all the rain. Mike zipped up his backpack as he put it on his back. He then pressed a button on the umbrella and poof! It sprang open, Mike and Sandile was safe from the rain now. "Sandile, You don't need to act brave if you don't like the rain..." Mike said looking at Sandile. Sandile had a brave face still she wasn't even looking at Mike! "Sand...Sandile!" Sandile yelled as it began to walk upwards. Mike followed putting the umbrella over him and Sandile, As they were walking they saw two people. He walked towards them and so did Sandile, "Hey guys what are you doing?" Mike asked still holding the umbrella. Sandile shook some rain off of her as she stared at the two pokemon.

Ashley made a grumbling sound at almost the exact same time as Cyndaquil, the two of them annoyed at the strangers' appearances. Oh well, too late now. "I'm Ashley. This is Cyndaquil." She nudged Cyndaquil to be polite, but instead, he huffed a puff of smoke and growled at the two Pokémon. |

Mike started to smile, "It's nice to meet you, Ashley. Oh I think I didn't mention my name, Mike." Mike then started to point at Sandile, Who was glaring at Cyndaquil. "And th-" Sandile interrupted Mike, "Sand, Sandile!" Sandile bellowed as it started to charge towards Cyndaquil. Mike quickly grabbed Sandile, "Sandile what are you doing?" Mike asked as Sandile let out a grunt.

Cyndaquil growled as well, but had a bit of Self-control and kept himself from charging at her.
"Cyndaquil? What are you doing?" Ashley scolded and grabbed him softly, trying to understand why he was so angry. |

Sandile began to move around trying to escape from Mike's grip. She wanted to battle this Cyndaquil! "What is it, Sandile? Why are you acting like this?" Mike asked as Sandile continued to move around. "Sandile!!! Sand sandile!(Hey you, Yeah Cyndaquil let's battle!)" Sandile roared as she finally escaped from Mike's grip. She fell in front of Mike and landed safely she stared at Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil growled in agreement and jumped off the bench, a little disturbed by the rain, but determined to battle.
"Cyndaquil!" Ashley huffed in defeat and stood up. "I'm guessing they want to battle...? Should we?" Her eyes looked to the stranger named Mike for an answer. |

Mike stared at Ashley, "I guess, Since Sandile want's to battle..But where do we battle? Mike asked but he knew that this spot might be the obvious spot to battle in. Sandile smiled as she began to glare at the Cyndaquil, She wasn't going to give up when she's fightng!

Nodding, Ashley brought Cyndaquil over to a rather large portion of a sidewalk, perfect for a field. Before she could even think, Cyndaquil was already springing off the ground and bounded towards Sandile. You have been challenged by: [/size] Ashley! [/center][/color] "Cyndaquil! Use Smokescreen again and again!" The field became too blurry for even the trainers to see, covering the sidewalk in a black smoke that blinded everyone.

Ichigo looking like a complete weird-o looked at the 2 pokemon. Chimchar squeaked, then fainted. "Ehehe, I guess I'll just have to watch tell chimchar regains conches" he smirked. He never liked it wen he saw a pokemon faint after a battle. Well to put it this way he forced him self to get used to it.

Mike couldn't see anything, But Sandile just stood there looking confident. Sandile just stared at the same spot that Cyndaquil was in, The source of the smoke. Sandile rushed foward trying to find Cyndaquil when Sandile felt like Cyndaquil was in front of her.., "Sand, Sandile!!" Sandile yelled. Mike knew what to do next just command Sandile to use a attack. "Sandile, Use Bite attack now!!" Mike bellowed as Sandile opened it's mouth. Her mouth began to radiate black like aura as she lunged foward hoping that Cyndaquil was there, she was about to close her mouth.

OOC; just to let you know, I am doing all of this in a randomly generated number thing to see if attacks land or not, depending on the battle's status. For example, the smoke would decrease the chances. Based on bite's accuracy level, the chances are only increased by 1. However, based on Cyndaquil's base speed stats and the smoke, chances are increased by 4, making it a 1/5 chance. I roll the random generator, and it lands on 3. EDIT: Just to let you know, it has to land on a 5 in order for the attack to be successful. If there are no damaging conditions, then I do a one in three roll. Attack Missed! [/size][/center] "Cyndaquil! Now's your chance! Use tackle!" Cyndaquil, being a Pokémon that naturally closes its eyes, was not affected by the smoke. He easily maneuvered through and landed a soft tackle to the Sandile's side, then retreated to his trainer's side of the battlefield. Cyndaquil -- 100% -- tackle - leer - smokescreen

Sandile let out a grunt as the smokescreen started to fade away. It finally revealed Ashley and Cyndaquil. Sandile was angry, She walked towards Cyndaquil and stopped 1 inch away from him. "Alright then, Sandile use Sand Attack now!!" Mike commanded as Sandile started to make tons of sand fly towards Cyndaquil. "Sand...Sandile!!!" Sandile yelled as it continued to make sand. Mike didn't want to lose his first battle, Not against her.
